Kerrie Chambers is a partner in HWL Ebsworth’s national health industry team.
Medical malpractice
- Acting for and advising medical practitioners in the defence of claims for professional negligence, disciplinary proceedings, inquests and statutory bodies.
- Advising a large medical defence organisation on the impact of the Health Privacy Guidelines.
- Acting for various other health care professionals such as physiotherapists, optometrists, dentists and veterinary surgeons in the defence of claims for professional negligence and before disciplinary bodies, workers compensation accreditation review panels and coronial inquiries.
General insurance litigation
- Acting for and advising various insurers on professional indemnity policy wordings, defending claims arising from industrial accidents, sporting injuries and motor accidents with an emphasis on catastrophic injuries.

- Acting for numerous cases for doctors of varying specialities in a myriad of cases on issues of advice, informed consent, negligent performance of surgery, negligent diagnosis, and all aspects of medical malpractice litigation. These cases are both in the Supreme Court and District Courts of New South Wales.
