Dennis is a highly experienced property lawyer with expertise in asset sales and acquisitions, property development, and commercial and retail leasing.  

His expertise extends to all aspects of commercial and retail leasing, acting on behalf of both lessor and lessee.  Dennis also acts for clients in relation to large strata title and community title developments, both commercial and residential. 

Clients include major banks, institutional property investors and developers, and government instrumentalities.

Relevant Recent Experience

  • Acts for listed and and unlisted property trusts in relation to acquisitions, leasing and disposals of commercial property in Australia;
  • Acted for EnergyAustralia in the purchase of two large office blocks in Sussex Street, Sydney to the value of $15million, undertaking extensive due diligence regarding the various leases and signage agreements in two separate acquisitions for office blocks;
  • Represented owners of shopping centres in metropolitan and regional New South Wales such as Ashfield Mall, Bonnyrigg Plaza, Liverpool Plaza, Tamworth Shopping Centre, and Grafton Shopping Centre;
  • Member of the Minister’s Advisory Committee for the Review of the Retail Leases Act and Amendments 2005-06;
  • Represents  the financing of  European wind turbine manufacturer in the eco energy area in Australia; and
  • Appointed as a part-time member of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal.
