Christopher has considerable specialist experience in the area of professional indemnity, directors and officers including class action litigation and general liability. He acts for a number of prominent indemnity insurers and has significant experience advising a wide range of professionals including accountants, solicitors, engineers, brokers and agents, financial advisors, real estate agents, private hospitals, dental practices, doctors and pathology practices in medical malpractice cases.
His other key areas of expertise include construction risk/ISR, property, TPD, life and CCI. He also has extensive experience in providing advice on and drafting policy wordings for insurers.
Christopher has been one of the lecturers in insurance and reinsurance for the Master of Laws Insurance Course at the University of NSW for the past four years. He has also contributed to several sections on Australian Law in the latest edition of a UK text on Professional Indemnity Insurance Law.
Dispute resolution management
Christopher is a qualified mediator and successfully applies alternate dispute resolution skills in claims management.
Specialist Accreditation
Christopher is an Accredited Specialist in the area of Commercial Litigation (Insurance). He has been, for many years, the Chairperson of the Commercial Litigation Advisory Committee of the Law Society of New South Wales and is a member of the Curriculum Advisory Panel for the College of Law’s Master of Applied Law (Commercial Litigation Course).
