Wik and Wik Way Peoples' Native Title Claim

The Federal Court of Australia is set to make a historic determination of native title in favour of the Wik and Wik Way Peoples recognising the existence of their native title to an area covered by part of Rio Tinto Aluminium Limited’s bauxite mining leases.
HWL Ebsworth Lawyers have represented the Wik and Wik Way Peoples in their various proceedings and negotiations concerning their native title claims since early 1993.
